LessonWriter News

We're growing!

A couple of veteran NYC teachers joined us to help serve all the schools that want our PD. I've taught with both, and they have lots of experience with LessonWriter. There's still time to start your school year with a training that will:

  • Support your students' need for reading support and academic literacy skills.
  • Give your teachers tools and skills to plan better and faster
  • Help your school satisfy the demands of the New York Quality Review

New features
Last month's big suggestion came from a group of Children First Network leaders in the Bronx: "Bloom's Prompts", an easy-to-use feature that encourages and simplifies applying Bloom's taxonomy in LessonWriter lessons. Please watch this short video to see how.

Yesterday was our first training of the 2010-11 school year at the East New York Middle School of Excellence in the Bronx and their teachers made terrific requests for new features and upgrades, and we're already working on them.

They chose to have trainings in two 3-hour sessions, one in August and one in October. In-between trainings, we'll drop by the school to offer extra help to teachers who struggle with technology. Trainings can be delivered in one full day or spread over two or three sessions. No matter how trainings are booked, your teachers receive free support to make sure they are getting the most out of LessonWriter.

My summer's last hurrah will be Coney Island and a Brooklyn Cyclone's game Thursday evening. I hope you have something fun planned, too, and look forward to working together this year.

Thanks,
Stephen
